Sensory Comfort is built to work entirely on your device. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what that means and what little data does exist.
Live Dampening and Soundscape process microphone audio on your device, in real time, to shape what you hear. That audio is never recorded, saved, or transmitted anywhere — it's processed sample by sample and discarded. Sensory Comfort has no server, and no audio path exists between your phone and anything else.
Everything below is stored locally on your device only, using standard iOS local
storage (UserDefaults). None of it is linked to your identity, none of it
is transmitted to us or anyone else, and all of it is deleted if you delete the app.
Sensory Comfort doesn't have accounts, sign-up, sign-in, or a profile of any kind. We don't collect your name, email address, or any other personal or identifying information. If you contact [email protected] for support, whatever you choose to share in that email is used only to help you and is not added to any mailing list or shared with a third party.
Sensory Comfort Pro subscriptions are billed entirely through Apple's App Store. We never see or store your payment details — Apple handles billing, renewal, and refunds under its own privacy policy. Sensory Comfort only asks Apple whether your device has an active entitlement; it does not receive your billing information.
Sensory Comfort is designed to support caregivers, including parents and teachers, in helping a child manage overwhelming sound. It collects no personal information from anyone — adult or child — and has no account system, chat feature, or way for a child to share information with us or with other people. Because everything above is stored only on the device itself and never transmitted, no data about a child is collected, used, or disclosed by Sensory Comfort in the course of normal use.
If you're a parent or guardian and have questions about how a device your child uses is set up, or you believe a child has somehow contacted us with personal information, please reach out at [email protected] and we'll address it directly.
Sensory Comfort includes no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. The only third party involved in using the app at all is Apple, through the App Store and StoreKit for purchases, and standard iOS system frameworks for audio and notifications — both governed by Apple's own privacy terms, not ours.
Sensory Comfort asks for microphone access so Live Dampening can process the sound around you in real time. That's the only sensitive permission the app uses for its core features. You can review or revoke it anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change too. Meaningful changes — anything that would change what's described above — will also be noted in the app's release notes.
Questions about this policy or how Sensory Comfort handles data can go to [email protected].
